Albert “Pete” DeCrenza of Peekskill, NY passed away on February 1, 2016. He was 76 years old. Pete was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 456 in Elmsford, NY. He was born on February 15, 1939 in Ossining, NY to Alfonzo and Irene DeCrenza. Pete served in the US Army from 1956-1959 and also served in the Army National Guard. On September 18, 1965 he married Cathleen “Cathy” Cioffi in Peekskill, NY. Pete was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 462, past President of the Sons of Italy in Ossining and was also a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospital. He is survived by his wife Cathleen “Cathy” DeCrenza of Peekskill and brothers; Salvatore Caiazza of Cortlandt Manor, Gary DeCrenza, Michael DeCrenza and Robert Longwell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son, Albert Peter DeCrenza, Jr. and brothers; James Caputo and James Caiazza. Visitation is Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 3pm to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 5, 2016, 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
