Kathryn (Kiki) Sawyer, 65, of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on December 30, 2022, at home in Cortlandt Manor. She was born January 31, 1957, in Peekskill, NY, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anne Kansky. 

Kiki was an avid skier and enjoyed golf and long walks with her husband Chris. She was known for her laughter and enjoyment of dancing in the kitchen. Her gardens were a source of great pride. 

She was happiest when spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren outdoors. She was quick with a joke and known for her “world-class” carrot cake and cheesecake. 

Kathryn worked as a personal assistant to a children’s author for 20+ years; she was involved in the editing and proofreading process which allowed her to use her creative talents. 

Kathryn is survived by her husband Chris, daughter Tara Mantell and her husband Ross, son Tyler Sawyer and his wife Jessie, her brother Andrew (Dick) Kansky, two grandchildren Joselyn and Garrett Mantell, a niece and several nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Orowitz, and brother William Kansky. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11:15 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 1377 E. Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
