So sorry to hear this news. She was an extraordinary woman and a towering presence in the Putnam Valley community for over 50 years. To me, her name is synonymous with the words Putnam Valley. Some people leave an indelible mark on others and their community. Marie Zarcone is one of them. May she rest in peace. Job well done..

To the Zarcone family, My wife Theresa and I are deeply saddened of the news of Marie's death. Your mother was always most kind to me as we both served our community as an elected official. As Councilman and Supervisor of the Town of Carmel , I would have many opportunities to seek her help as County Legislator and later as a dear friend. She was always willing to work as partners is many of my proI.jects, and I believe she was far ahead of her time I know she truly love her family and community and always expressed her faith May God bless this wonderful woman, Regards, Frank and Terry Del Campo

I am so sorry to hear of this loss. Although I did not know Marie personally...it is amazing to have read and learned about her mother's extraordinary will and life dedication to her family..her personal goals and her community. It was an inspiration to say the least. May she rest in eternal peace.

Marie was one of the first people I met when I moved to Putnam Valley. I quickly got to like her. She was feisty, smart, and honest. What you saw was what you got. Over the years I met her often at the post office and we would always take a few minutes to talk. She was so proud of her children (who I eventually got to know as well) and their accomplishments. As the years passed, I saw her less and less. Today, I found out that she passed. Eternal rest to you. dear friend, you were areal icon of what a smart, confident, and concerned woman should be. I have been blessed to know you and your family as you were to know mine.
