Obituary of Margaret Kleinmann

Margaret (Macord) Kleinmann of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023, at the age of 99.  She was born on August 24, 1923, in New Rochelle to Charles and Margaret (Kerwin) Macord.  She was educated in New Rochelle, graduating from New Rochelle High School.  Margaret began her working career at St. Regis Paper Company in New York City.  She married Robert A. Kleinmann on May 27, 1945, and had three daughters.  She spent many years raising her children and being a wife.  Once her family was grown, she enjoyed a life in Florida playing golf and bowling with friends.  She also loved to crochet and knit.

Margaret is survived by two loving children, Barbara Malzo of Yorktown Heights, NY, and Patricia (Larry) Pignatello of Danbury, CT.  She was the cherished grandmother of Joseph M. Malzo, III, Christine (Matthew) Comerford, Larry (Sarah) Pignatello, Lianne (Chris) Noe, Thomas (Robin) Traviglia, James Traviglia and many great-grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, one brother, her son-in-law, Joseph M. Malzo, Jr., and her daughter, Virginia Ann Traviglia.

She will be remembered by her family as a loving mom, grandmother, and aunt who lived life in her own special way.  She loved life and did what she needed to do to survive and enjoy it to the fullest.  Her spirit will always be with all of us guiding and reminding us to live our lives to the fullest as well.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's honor to The Alzheimer's Association

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00 am at Church of the Assumption, 920 1st Street, Peekskill, NY.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
