Obituary of Timothy James Lynch

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Timothy James Lynch, 68, of Cortlandt Manor passed away at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, NY, on May 25, 2023, after a long fight with COPD.

He was born to Gerald and Bonnie (White) Lynch on July 8, 1954, at Ossining Hospital.

Timmy graduated from Croton Harmon High School, Class of 1972.  Following graduation, he received an Associate's Degree in Electrical Construction from SUNY Delhi.  In 1975, he began his career as a MofE Electrician with the railroad.  In 1980, he entered Locomotive Engineering School.  He proudly served Hudson Line commuters until 2005 when he medically retired.

Timmy loved all things outdoors, skiing, fishing, camping, and road-tripping brought him great joy for many years.  In 2021, Tim welcomed his first grandchild, which was one of his proudest moments.  Timmy was an outstanding father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.  We will all miss him deeply.

He is survived by his sons Geoffrey (Meghan), Jason (Caitlan), stepson Kevin, grandson Jason, and his beloved dog Lucee.  He is also survived by his siblings Michael (Mary), Bonnie (Jim), Gregory (Maggie), Tonne, and Anita (Stephen).  He will be also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.
