Edith Mary Konzen, daughter of Arthur and Lucinda (Parker) Gorsline, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband John Konzen on October 17, 2001. She is survived by her three sons John Konzen Jr and his wife Lisa Konzen of Barnegat NJ, Edward Konzen and his wife Cynthia Konzen of Beacon NY, and Paul Konzen and his wife Christie Konzen of Accord NY. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many loving relatives and friends.

Edith was very involved in her community in Peekskill, NY. She worked 31 years as a City of Peekskill crossing guard and spent many years leading Cub Scout Pack 195 which she started in the early 1980’s with her boys. Many may remember her from her time running the snack bar at the Depew Park pool in the 1980’s and 90’s and the tennis courts in the summer months. In her later years, she was an avid Bingo player and well known for yelling “Forty” when the number was called as well as some other fun antics. She was the lady dressed in red everywhere she went.

She loved to crochet, collect Betty Boop and Elvis memorabilia, watch gameshows, and spend time with her family. She never missed the opportunity to send a birthday card to those she loved.

To her, family was everything.

Visitation will held on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.

Chapel service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00 am at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY.

Interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY.
