My grandmother was an incredible matriarch. Really, she was the regal leader in our family. She loved deeply and fully, all of us. She was the kind of person who just had more love in her heart for the more people who joined our lives. She is so much a part of who I am that even though I knew she would one day leave us, I can’t quite believe she is gone. I will always love you and save a special corner of my heart to keep you with me.
And I know we will miss you every day of our lives.

There are so many, many beautiful memories of knowing Sis. Carrie - from singing & directing the choir with Tony Haynes…From being a member of Christ Temple BC to Sharing beautiful memories of our beloved Rev. Mother Sadie Banks…Carrie was always wonderfully warm towards me & rejoiced with me when I brought my wife, Pastor Karen Lewis to CTBC!!! I cherish the many beautiful thoughts & memories we have shared over the years!!! My fondest memory is when Sis. Carrie & I Co-Chaired the Annual Pastor’s Anniversary Celebration for our Mother Pastor Banks!!! She did not hesitate to step in and work side by side with to organize & implement and celebrate Pastor Banks program For Morning & Afternoon Services!!!!! What a joy it was to work with her. I also cherish Mother Aaron’s Memory as well!! When I showed up to attend Mother Aaron’s Home-going, Pastor Rev. Charles Smith asked me to preside over The Service!!! Carrie, as I called her did not hesitate to share words of thx over FB Messenger!!! I told her that I recalled how she & Deacon Anderson drove me home to Harlem from Poughkeepsie after I successfully passed my Ordination Oral Examination by The Mt.Zion Baptist Association in 1994!!! I was later Ordained at a Glorious Ordination Celebration Ceremony at CTBC under the pastorate of Rev. Mother Sadie Banks!!! She was always gracious over the years!!! While Tony Haynes was Minister of Music, I brought the song, “I Am Somebody” to the choir and Carrie and the rest of the choir loved it so much, they used it for the Choir Anniversary Processional!!! Carrie was smiling real big during the choir processional singing, “I AM SOMEBODY” on that GLORIOUS CELEBRATION SERVICE!!! THIS IS A HUGE LOSS TO HER FAMILY AND THE CTBC FAMILY AS WELL!!! CARRIE, WE LOVE YOU & MISS YOU!!!
