Marian Miner (Vancura) passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023. She was 85 years old. She was a resident of Wappinger Falls, NY.

She was born in Peekskill, NY, then grew up in Buchanan, NY before moving and settling back in Peekskill.

She was married at the Church of the Assumption to Carey Miner, who passed away in 2003.

Marian graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School in 1957. She then went on to take courses at the Westchester Business School. From there she worked at various jobs including the Peekskill Knitting Mills and the Peekskill Hair Net Factory for many years. She was a homemaker who

loved her children Michael (Lisa) Miner, Joyce (Diego) Garcia, and William Miner as well as her grandchildren.

She was a gentle soul and had a big heart for people and animals.

Her grandchildren Olivia, Briana, and Matthew were the light of her life.

She enjoyed spending time with family, trips to the casino, and going to church.

She was pre-deceased by her twin sister Lillian, sisters Anna Mae, Henrietta, brothers Charlie, Joseph, Fredrick, and survived by her brothers Robert, Johnny, Raymond,

and Richard, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Mass of Christian Burial will be held a The Church of the Assumption on Thursday, November 30. 2023, at 10:00 am
