Obituary of Maria Antonieta Nube

Maria Antonieta Nube, 82, of Peekskill, NY, a beacon of warmth and wisdom, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024, surrounded by her family that she loved so dearly. 

She was born on January 17, 1941 to Grimaldo Suarez Mallma and Alejandrina Guerra Linares in Lima, Peru. In 1969, Maria married her husband, Tomas, in Peru. Maria and Tomas have five children, Nancy G. Nube, Christian T. Nube, Percy H. Nube, Michael R. Nube, and Tyrone G. Nube. Prior to her marriage to Tomas, she had two other children.

Maria was the epitome of selflessness, tirelessly nurturing and supporting each generation with boundless love and wisdom. Her home was a haven of warmth and comfort, where laughter echoed and memories were woven into the fabric of her family’s lives. Her legacy is not just in the countless meals prepared and stories shared but in the enduring lessons of kindness, resilience, and family values that she instilled in everyone. Her absence leaves a void that can only be filled with the cherished memories of her unwavering love and devotion. She will forever be remembered as the heart and soul of the family. 

Maria is predeceased by her daughter, Nancy, and son, Manuel. She is survived by her husband, Tomas, her sister, Carmen, her children, Christian, Percy, Michael, and Tyrone, as well as her 14 grandchildren, Nancy, Alexa, Yasmine, Meke’ll, Arianna, Sara, Sophia, Jayden, Hailey, Amber, Isabella, Gianna, Asia, and Alex.
