Joan (Heady) Walsh a resident of Garrison, NY passed away at Cortlandt Healthcare Monday morning January 22, 2024 after a long illness.  

Joan was born January 5, 1933, in Peekskill, NY to Perley & Cora (Carney) Heady.  

Joan & her husband James Walsh were married on April 16, 1983, and settled in Garrison, NY. 

Joan worked in the Restaurant Business most of her life. While owning her own (Lexington Steak & Beer) for a short time. She went on to work at various Establishments in the area.  Finally ending her Working Career with a small House Cleaning Business.Working well into her 70's.  

Joan was fun-loving, kind, and had such a loving heart. She saw only the good in people. She was devoted to Jesus and was a lifelong member of the Methodist church where she sang in the Choit.  

Joan loved decorating her home, shopping, and fashion. She also loved spending time with her large extended family with lots of Nieces and Nephews that she loved dearly.  

Joan was a loving mother to Bruce, Brian, Joanne (Todd) and Patty. Grandmother (Nanny) to  Jesse, Amanda, Dina, Matthew, Adam and Todd. Great Grandmother to Dustin, Hitda,  Debbie, Avery, and Nathaniel.  

Joan is Survived by her brothers Don Heady, and Roger Heady, sister Lois (Bill) Duquette, and  sister in-Law Gail (Ken) Heady  

Joan is Predeceased by her Husband James, son Bruce, Parents, Brothers Perley (Jackie)  Heady, Robert (Wanda) Heady and Kenny Heady. Sisters Gertrude DeFazio and Blanche  (Jimmy) Bocchino

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Chapel Service will be held at  Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10:00 am

Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery
