Obituary of Maria Rivera

Maria Rivera was born on December 8th 1981 in Connecticut. Maria previously resided in Escondido, California and then moved to New York to build her family and career in Childhood Education.  

Maria is survived by her husband, Ronald, her son, Jaadin, her mother, Jamie, sisters Melody and Angelica, brothers Gilbert and Steven, her God daughter Sarryah (Cookie) including Sarryah’s mother Vanessa and brother Juan (CJ). Maria is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Maria was known to be the sunshine to everyone's darkness. She was a proud mother, wife, friend, child care provider, and touched many people's hearts with her caring, loving personality. Maria loved traveling with her son Jaadin, the Disney Villains, and her daily Starbucks runs. Maria was mostly recently employed as a director at

Yorktown Child Care Center in Yorktown, NY where she then was employed at Little Lamb in Cortlandt Manor, NY and Pied Piper in Yorktown, NY.

The family and friends of Maria want to thank The Gruber Family for their continuous support. Maria’s love and bond for Molly and Patrick was unbreakable. Maria will live on in your hearts.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Private Cremation Ceremony to follow.
