Gerald A. Cassone Obituary

It is with deepest sorrow and a heavy heart to announce the passing of Gerald Cassone.


Gerald passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, February 18, 2024, prior to passing Gerry requested and received his last rights from Fr. Dan of Graymoor. 


Gerry was born in Port Chester, NY to Edith and Rocco Cassone in 1949.


Gerry was a Vietnam Veteran who served as a Helicopter Door Gunner during the war.


Gerry loved life, people, and animals. His favorite pastime was fishing with his buddies. He was an avid saltwater fisherman. He would go to the docks on the Sound, making sure to feed the resident cats and birds on his way to his boat. 


He loved to cook and especially loved corn on the cob. 


He is survived by his brother Philip and nephew both of which reside in Ohio.


A private cremation ceremony has been selected by his loved ones.


Gerry will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Virginia at a later date.


Gerry will be greatly missed.
