Obituary of Rose Canino

Rose Canino of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Peekskill, NY passed away on December 9, 2015. She was 99 years old. Mrs. Canino had worked for Nan Flower in Peekskill, then later as a secretary for WEBCO in Buchanan. Mrs. Canino was born on January 3, 1916 in Peekskill to Frank and Louise Santinello Caliendo. She was a graduate of Peekskill HS. On June 18, 1939 she married Louis Canino at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Rose was a parishioner of the Assumption Church, a member of the Peekskill and Cortlandt Senior Citizens and also the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Peekskill. She is survived by two daughters; Andrea Euvino of Raleigh, NC and Marie Wright of Naples, FL and two granddaughters; Lisa Davis and Kimberly Gast. Predeceased by her husband, Louis Canino, two sisters, Marion Montesano and Louise Spinola and two brothers, Nat Caliendo and Salvatore Caliendo. Visitation is Tuesday, Dec. 22nd, 2pm to 5pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd, 10am, Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
