Obituary of Luann Ribeiro

Please share a memory of Luann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On March 6th, 2024, Luann Ribeiro (Carielli), of Cortlandt Manor, NY, peacefully passed away at age 58, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Luann grew up in the Bronx and Yonkers, spending most of her days side by side with her friends, family, and devoted husband Roy. She spent most of her free time at the beach and made a home in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

Luann worked at and recently retired from H&S Property Management after 30+ years. Luann also loved to take care of animals, especially feeding the birds and seagulls on the beach and wildlife near her home. Her favorite animal was the cardinal and she also adored her many pet bulldogs (Harley, Rocky
and Buddy) over the years.

Luann will forever be loved and remembered for the way she treated everyone around her with kindness, respect, and compassion. She selflessly put others first and always looked for the good in people. Luann had a contagious smile. She loved to laugh and bring joy to those around her.

Luann was predeceased by her father, Paul Carielli, her brother-in-law, Chris Curran, and father-in-law, Marvin Weinstein.

She is survived by her husband of 30+ years, Roy Ribeiro, her mother, Louise Carielli, and mother-in-law, Theresa Weinstein. Her siblings: Paula Curran, Tommy Carielli & his partner Adriana Guzman. Sisters-in-law: Mary Smith, Ana Bela Channan & husband Farruhk. Her unconditional love will be continued through her nieces and nephews: Kim, Christina, Ryan & his wife Britney, Danielle & her husband Steve, Paul, Keith & his wife Michelle, Sam, and Sophia. Her grandnieces and grandnephews: Alexia, Avery, Shavante, Logan, Samantha, Zac and Alexandra. She was an adoring Godmother to many of her nieces, nephews, and Cassie.
