Obituary of Audrey G. Cothren

Audrey G. Cothren of Peekskill, NY passed away on October 5, 2017. She was 90 years old. Prior to retiring Audrey was an Executive Secretary for IBM America’s Far East Headquarters in Westchester County for over thirty years. She was born on November 21, 1926 in Peekskill to John and Florence Robinson Galati. Audrey was a graduate of Peekskill HS and graduated from Berkeley Secretarial School in New York City. On April 6, 1947 Audrey married Harry F. Cothren at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. She was a lifelong member of the Peekskill Presbyterian Church and served several years as a Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by one sister; Lorraine Vezina of Mahopac, sister-in-law, Virginia Galati of Long Island and brother-in-laws; Jack Cothren and Patrick Cothren. Also survived by many, many, loving nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Harry F. Cothren in September, 1971 and four brothers; Salvatore, Joseph, Anthony and Frank Galati and two sisters; Genevieve Palmer and Althea Snowden. Also predeceased by two sister-in-laws, Alice Kelly and Joan McGuirk. Visitation is Monday, October 9th,from 4pm to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral Service Tuesday, October 10th, 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
