Obituary of Carol Perry

Carol A. Perry passed away, surrounded by her loved ones, on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, at the age of 82. 

She was born on November 1st, 1941 to the late Helen (Mullings) and Gabriel Scalzo in Peekskill, NY. Born and raised in Peekskill, Carol graduated from Peekskill High School and met the love of her life George Perry (deceased). They were married in 1960 and had 2 children, Andrea and Steven. 

After high school, Carol was employed at Graymoor, the Friars of the Atonement, in Garrison, NY until her retirement.

Carol enjoyed life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. Alongside George, she cherished the simple pleasures of travel, shopping, and dining out, creating countless cherished memories together.

She is survived by her children, Andrea Perry of Cumberland, RI and Steven (Christine) Perry of Garrison, NY.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jessica Weinschenk, Eric Weinschenk, and Shannon Perry 

She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as by all who considered her a friend.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Columbanus Church 122 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at  Hillside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
