Jose, my brother, was a treasure chest of wild jokes and crazy wisdom. Boxing lessons with him were some unforgettable bouts mixed with laughter and love. His courage inspired me to always push myself to be better. With our shared fond memories of silly conversations at City Island, I’ll keep his spirit alive in me. The last time we spoke, we laughed and we cried. You were an amazing person with a heart of gold. Thank you for always checking up on me and making sure I was alright after the loss of your brother. I want to share a memory of Jose when he helped Sgt. Puelo move into a new home and made a hole in the ceiling. He couldn't stop laughing and thought that he would be put to the midnight shift until he got it fixed. He blamed Pazini for the hole.

Colon was more than a co-workers we were all family @ the school unit. Jose was always a gentleman and never complaint about anything. I had the honor and pleasure of working with him for over seven years @ the 40 pct. Rest in Peace my brother.
