Gary C. Pierce, a former Buchanan resident, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 in Crystal River, FL. He was 71. Gary was a retired Technician for AT&T. He was born in Peekskill on February 2, 1944 to Charles “Hatchie” and Harriet Chester Pierce. Raised in Buchanan, he proudly served in the US Army, during the Vietnam Era. Gary loved many outdoor activities, such as sailing, auto racing and snow mobiling. He is survived by 2 sons, Brian (Gina), of Putnam Valley, and Chuck (Pam), of Beverly Hills, FL. He also has a sister, Penny (Michael) Baisley, of Ocala, FL, and his grandsons, Chad and Zachary Pierce. Visiting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, where a Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 at 10AM. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
