Obituary of Teodoro Rivera

We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Teodoro Rivera, affectionately known as Lole and Teddy, on Monday, June 24, 2024, in Peekskill, NY.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio Rivera Silva and Braulia Ramos Pabon, his brothers Gregorio Rivera, Claudio Rivera, sisters Pabin Rivera and Crucita Rivera 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carmen Rivera, sons, Feliz (Xiomara)Rivera; Samuel (Jessica) Rivera; Eugenio (Liz) Rivera; his grandchildren Brenda, Edwin, Samuel Jr., Mia, and Misha, his sister Teresa Rodriguez; brother Jose Rivera (Martha); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Also included as a family are his very close and dear friends, neighbors, and co-workers who all held a special place in his life.

Teodoro was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Peekskill in the late 60’s to be close to family.  He met his wife Carmen and they were married in 1972 in Peekskill where they raised their 3 boys. He worked at LaFarge Gypsum Plant in Buchanan for 40 years.   

After retiring, Teodoro enjoyed quality time with his family but especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren. 

He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Visitation will be at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington St, Peekskill, NY 10566, (914) 737-1363, on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Entombment to follow at Hillside Cemetary, 1033 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567 on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 1:00 pm.
