Christine Elinor Baxter was born June 20th, 1949, in Brooklyn, NY to Elinor Pedersen Klein and John Richard Klein. 

She met and married her first husband, Roy Foss, and had a daughter Christine. 

Chris worked for many years for the Village of Ossining Section 8 Department. She raised her daughter on her own, then God placed a loving man in her life. They fell in love and married on July 10th, 2010. 

God lived through them bringing people to himself as they witnessed to family, friends, coworkers, and strangers. 

Together they enjoyed traveling and visiting people; she especially enjoyed singing in choirs. 

Chris struggled with a long-term illness, during her life, but at last was called home Tuesday June, 25th 2024 7:15 PM, by Christ to be with him in heaven. She is finally at peace singing in Christ's Heavenly Choir. 

Chris is survived by her husband, Gary E Baxter, Her Daughter Christine E Yalanis and her husband, Phillip Yalanis Jr, and Granddaughter Kara Jordan Yalanis. She is also survived by her brothers Tom Klein and his wife Carol, John Klein, extended family members, and her many friends. 

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Chapel Service will be held at the Fishkill Baptist Church, 107 NY-82, Fishkill, NY 12524 on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:00 am

Interment to follow at Cold Spring Cemetery.
