Obituary of Melissa Ann Schwer

Melissa Ann Schwer, née Bertram passed away, surrounded by family, on October 17th, 2024, at her home, in Midlothian, Virginia.

She was born on December 5, 1977, in Yonkers, NY. Beloved daughter of Gary & Dorothy Bertram, cherished sister of Gary (Bethany) Bertram, and most importantly, devoted mother to Rebecca and Audrey Schwer.

She is also survived by her niece and nephew, Harper Bertram and Oliver Bertram; and countless family and friends.

Melissa graduated from York College, in 1999 and earned her master's degree in 2022. She was a dedicated teacher, at Providence Middle School. Her great love for her children, music, and the beach, will live on, in the memories, of all who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a go fund me account set up, for her daughters.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
