Judy was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She was born in South Carolina to Arthur and Delree Wessman while in the army. They then settled in Rockland County NY after being discharged.

She grew up in Rockland and graduated Haverstraw High School. She met her husband Steve through mutual friends over the CB Radio. They set up housekeeping on the top floor of his mother’s house in Peekskill eventually settling in their own home in Garrison Where they have lived to this day.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and creative activities such as knitting and crocheting. Some of her most-told stories involved travel to England with her husband Steve and down to South Carolina for family visits.

Growing up as an only child she was the pride of her parents Art and Del. When she was young she enjoyed dancing and even did a bit of modeling.

Judy became a secretary and worked at Letchworth and in the Lakeland Central School District.

Judy is survived by her husband Steve, daughter Stacey and son-in-law Doug, son Kerry and daughter-in-law Cara, and 2 granddaughters Emily and Mikayla.

Visitation will be held at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Entombment will take place at Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00 am
