Irene T. Guzzo of Garrison, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the age of 88. She was born June 21, 1927 in New York, NY, daughter of the late Pasquale and Angelina (Bertorelli) Ianelli. She graduated from Julia Richman High School in 1945 then graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. On February 11, 1956 she married George Guzzo in Yonkers, NY. George predeceased his wife in 2004. Mrs. Guzzo is a member of the Putnam Valley Senior Citizens. Mrs. Guzzo is survived by her two sons, George Guzzo of Chandler, AZ and Michael Guzzo and his wife Kim of Cortlandt Manor, her grandchildren Peter, Thomas and Lisa and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Ianelli and sister Mary Ianelli. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Peekskill at 10 am. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Calling Hours will be Friday October 16, 2015 from 4 to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington St., Peekskill, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Senior Citizens Putnam Valley, 117 Town Park Lane Putnam Valley NY, 10579. Checks should be payable to FSCPC
