Es con profundo dolor que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Ernesto Guevara, querido esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo, que nos dejó el 8 de enero de 2025, a la edad de 73 años.

Ernesto falleció en el Hospital White Plains durante un procedimiento médico, rodeado de familiares y seres queridos. Su repentina pérdida ha dejado un profundo vacío en nuestros corazones, pero nos consuela saber que está en paz.

Nacido el 7 de Noviembre de 1951 en Poloros, La Union, El Salvador. Ernesto fue un hombre de gran calidez, fuerza y integridad. Como padre, era una fuente de apoyo, sabiduría y amor inquebrantable, siempre poniendo a su familia en primer lugar. Su buen corazón, su naturaleza gentil y su compromiso con aquellos que amaba dejaron una marca indeleble en todos los que lo conocían.

A lo largo de su vida, Ernesto demostró un notable sentido del deber con su comunidad y su familia. Era un hombre de principios, siempre dispuesto a echar una mano a los necesitados, y inculcó en sus hijos los valores de compasión, perseverancia y respeto. Su amor por su familia era ilimitado, y era conocido por su risa contagiosa y la alegría que traía a cada reunión.

El legado de Ernesto se extiende más allá de su familia. Ya sea a través de su trabajo voluntariado o simples actos de bondad, tocó la vida de muchos y deja atrás un legado de amor, servicio y dedicación.

Ernesto será recordado no solo por sus muchas contribuciones, sino también por su capacidad de escuchar, su genuina empatía y el amor que mostraba todos los días.

Deja atrás a su afligida familia, incluyendo a su esposa de 49 años de casados, Antonia (Toñita), a sus hijos Dina, Elmer, Estela, Víctor, Danny y Jaime, también a sus yerno y nueras Carlos, Magdalena, Veronica, Cinthya y Brianna, también sus 15 nietos Juan Carlos, Jonny, Rosa Linda, Joselin, Sabrina, Anavel, Melina, Douglas, Erika, Isabella, Iker, Gael, Enzo, Antonela y Ariela, que siempre apreciarán las lecciones y recuerdos que impartió. Sirvió como modelo a seguir y se preocupaba profundamente por su familia extendida, algunos de los cuales incluyen a Daniel Guevara, Freddy Guevara, Marvin Rubio y su pareja Patricia Tapia. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Nicolás, Saturnino, Eliodoro, Bertila y Emma, todos los cuales lo extrañaran mucho.

Fue precedido en la muerte por su padre Brijido Rubio y su madre Gumercinda Guevara.

El día domingo 12 de enero de 2025 se celebrará un funeral en la funeraria Nardone ubicada en 414 Washington St, Peekskill NY 10566, de 2 de la tarde a las 8 de la noche, donde se invita a amigos y familiares a reunirse en celebración de su vida y legado. 

El lunes 13 de enero de 2025, la familia tendrá una misa a las 11:30 de la mañana en la iglesia de la Asunción, ubicada en 131 Union Ave, Peekskill NY 10566.

Descansa en paz, Ernesto. Te extrañaremos mucho, pero nunca te olvidaremos. Tu amor, fuerza y espíritu vivirán en los corazones de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerte.

 

 

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ernesto Guevara, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on January 8th, 2025, at the age of 73.

Ernesto passed away in White Plains Hospital during a medical procedure, surrounded by family and loved ones. His sudden loss has left a profound emptiness in our hearts, but we take solace in knowing he is at peace

Born on November 7th, 1951 in Poloros, La Union, El Salvador. Ernesto was a man of great warmth, strength, and integrity. As a father, he was a source of unwavering support, wisdom, and love, always putting his family first. His kind heart, gentle nature, and commitment to those he loved left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Ernesto demonstrated a remarkable sense of duty to his community and his family. He was a man of principle, always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and instilled in his children the values of compassion, perseverance, and respect. His love for his family was boundless, and he was known for his infectious laughter and the joy he brought to every gathering.

Ernesto's legacy extends beyond his family. Whether through his work, volunteerism, or simple acts of kindness, he touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication.

Ernesto will be remembered not only for his many contributions but also for his ability to listen, his genuine empathy, and the love he showed every day.

He leaves behind his grieving family including his wife of 49 years, Elvia Antonia (Toñita), children Dina, Elmer, Estela, Victor, Danny and Jaime, as well his son and daughter in laws Carlos, Magdalena, Veronica, Cinthya, and Brianna, his fourteen grandchildren Juan Carlos, Jonny, Rosa Linda, Joselin, Sabrina, Melina, Douglas, Erika, Isabella, Iker, Anavel, Gael, Antonela and Ariela, who will forever cherish the lessons and memories he imparted. He served as a role model and deeply cared for his extended family some of which include Daniel Guevara, Freddy Guevara, Marvin Rubio, and his partner Patricia Tapia and their son Enzo. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Nicolas, Saturnino, Eliodoro, Bertila and Emma all whom will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father Brijido Rubio and his mother Gumercinda Guevara.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington St, Peekskill NY 10566, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of his life and legacy.

Monday, January 13, 2025, the family will be having a mass at 12:00 pm at the Assumption church, located at 131 Union Ave, Peekskill NY 10566.

Rest in peace, Ernesto. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Your love, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing you.
