Florence I. Rutkoski of Peekskill, NY passed away on August 23, 2015. She was 97 years old. Prior to retiring Mrs. Rutkoski was a Legal Secretary for the Honorable Cyril T. McDermott, Attorney-at-law in Peekskill, and in Cortlandt.

Florence was born on April 25, 1918 in Verplanck, NY to John J. and Caroline McGuire Rothweiler. She graduated from Peekskill High School in 1937 and attended Gaines Business School in New York City. On October 5, 1947 she married Thomas J. Rutkoski at the Assumption Church. Florence was a past member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a Parishioner at Assumption Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Mule` of Peekskill and a son, John (Daphne) Rutkoski of Peekskill, three grandchildren; Charles Jr. and Gregory Mule` and John Paul (Stacey) Rutkoski. Also surviving is a great granddaughter, Shayla Mule` and a niece Audrey Rundle.

Predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Rutkoski, two sisters, Caroline Delaney and Anna Williams, a brother, John Rothweiler, son-in-law, Charles Mule`, sister-in-law Helen Rothweiler and nephew, Richard (Buddy) Rundle.

Visitation is Wednesday from 4-8PM pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, at 10AMam, at the Assumption Church. Interment Assumption Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Assumption, in Peekskill
