Patricia S. Schappert of Peekskill, NY passed away on October 2, 2017. She was 75 years old. She was born on February 5, 1942 in New Rochelle, NY to Jakob and Patricia McCarthy Sumetz. Prior to retiring, Patricia was an Account Executive and Commercial Insurance Underwriter for Travelers Insurance in New York City. On September 10, 1960 she married Frederick W. Schappert, Jr. at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle.
She is survived by her two sons; Frederick W. “Bill” Schappert, III and Jason “Barry” Schappert, both of Peekskill. Also survived by, sisters-in-law Peggy (Rich) Carlucci of Summerville, SC and Terry (Paul) Moriarty of Norwich, Ct. Predeceased by, her husband Frederick W. “Bill” Schappert, Jr.
Visitation is Thursday, October 5th, 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral Service Friday, October 6th, 10am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
