Olav J. Thompson, Jr. of Peekskill, NY passed away on May 15, 2015. He was 76 years old. Mr. Thompson was a Carpenter in New York City and also a member of the Carpenter's Union. He was born on June 9, 1938 in Peekskill, NY to Olav and Emma Aquilio Thompson, Sr. On May 25, 1974 he married Marielouise (Marilou) Palermo at St. Christopher's Church in Buchanan, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Marilou Palermo Thompson of Montrose, a daughter, Karla Beth Thompson and a granddaughter, Emma Elizabeth Doherty. Also surviving are a sister AnnMarie (Jose) Lema of Cortlandt Manor and a brother, Joseph (Sandy) Thompson of North Carolina.
Visitation is Monday, May 18th, 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, May 19th, 10am at the Assumption Church, Peekskill, NY. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.
