Obituary of Ernest Gilbert

Ernest Gilbert entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 21st, 2018, he was 74 years of age. He was born in Glenn Cove Long Island to Abraham and Elizabeth Gilbert along with his two brothers Bobby and Gordon. He was raised in the Bronx on City Island, then moved to Cortlandt Manor, and later to the city of Peekskill. He worked as a Steam Fitter for Local Union 21, until his retirement. He is survived by Children Danielle and Butch , Son in law Colin, and Daughter in law Danielle Grand children Katherine, Sabrina, Lucy Seth, and Danica. Ernie enjoyed his family and friends most of all, and in his spare time he would partake in his hobbies of gardening, boating and salt water fish. Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Friday, April 27th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Chapel service to be conducted at the Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday at 10:30am
