William H. Dawson of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on January 5, 2015. He was 77 years old. He was born on February 27, 1937 in Dobbs Ferry, NY to Samuel J. and Helen Cmar Dawson. William received a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Pratt Institute. He served in US Army Reserves for two years attaining the rank of Sergeant. On July 7, 1962 he married Frances Berardi at St. Ann’s Church in Yonkers. William was a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), ASAI and NYSR.

He is survived by his wife Frances Dawson of Cortlandt Manor, three children; William H. Dawson, Jr. of Hyde Park, NY, Elizabeth A. (William) Dawson Vaculik of Wappingers Falls, NY and Jonathan P. (Melissa) Dawson of Hopewell Jct., NY. Nine grandchildren; Michael, Nicole, Lourdes and Adam Dawson, Anna and Grace Vaculik, Julia, Samantha and Katelyn Dawson. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Jane (Calvin) Murray of Rye Brook, NY.

Visitation is Thursday January 8, 2015 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday January 9, 2015, 11am at Church of the Holy Spirit, Cortlandt Manor.
