Lawrence J. Faughnan, Sr. of Cumming, GA, formerly of Fleishmanns, NY passed away on December 7, 2014. He was 83 years old. Mr. Faughnan was a Diesel Mechanic, Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator for Coca Cola in Elmsford, NY. He was born on December 18, 1930 in Staten Island, NY to Richard and Catherine Kelly Faughnan. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. On September 13, 1958 he married Joan Marie Feery in Brooklyn, NY. Lawrence is survived by four children; Maureen (Robert) Nelson, of Cumming, GA, Lawrence (Teresa) Faughnan, Jr. of Wappingers Falls, Kenneth Faughnan of Peekskill and Christopher (Lisa) Faughnan of Peekskill. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, his sister, Theresa Greene of Fleischmanns, NY and two brothers; Stephen Faughnan of Brick, NJ and Vincent Faughnan of Yorktown. Predeceased by his wife, Joan Marie Faughnan, four brothers and two sisters; William, Richard, Francis and John Faughnan, and Kathleen Faughnan Church and Rosemary Faughnan. Visitation, today, December 9th, Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, December 10th, 11:30am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
