Miriam E. Bennett of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on September 10, 2014. She was 79 years old. Born on August 22, 1935 in Yonkers to Frederick and Lillian Brown Evans. Locally, Miriam had been a volunteer at Hudson Valley Hospital. She is survived by her husband Angelo Paparella of Cortlandt Manor. Three children; Gordon (Margaret) Bennett of Ontario, Canada, Scott (Stacy) Bennett of Putnam Valley and Miriam (Rob) Marschall of Long Valley, NJ. Eight grandchildren; Jeffrey, Andrew, and Matthew Bennett, Tara and Ryan Bennett, Erik, Brian and Mark Marschall. Also survived by one brother, Fred Evans. Predeceased by her first husband, Gordon Bennett in 1982. Visitation is Sunday, September 14th, 3pm to 7pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, September 15th, 10am, Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
