Elaine B. Marafioti passed away on July 16th, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 67. Elaine was born Feb 11, 1947 to the late Josephine and Theodore Cocco in Jersey City, NJ. Elaine graduated from Dickinson High School and after getting married she attended Phelps Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Later on in life she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Mercy College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Elaine worked in area hospitals and retired from Dominican Sisters Family Health Services as a visiting nurse. Her co-workers called her "Lady Elaine". She was a perfect lady with a lot of love and respect for everyone who entered her life. Surviving are the loves of her life, her husband Frank of 47 years, daughter Jennifer (Mark) and sons Michael (Lara) and Richard. Also, her grandchildren; Gabrielle and Owen. Brothers; Mikael, Teddy and Richard. There will be a celebration of life at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY on Tuesday, July 22nd from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are being requested in Elaine's memory to Calvary Hospital, c/o Calvary Fund, 1740 Eastchester Rd., Bronx, NY 10461 or the St. Labre Indian School Educational Association, Ashland, MT, 59004.
