John J. Paribello, Sr. of Peekskill, NY passed away on May 27, 2014. He was 83 years old. Mr. Paribello was a Mechanical Engineer specializing in precious metals at Sigmund Cohn Corp. in Mt. Vernon, NY for over forty years. He was born on October 8, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, NY to James and Florence Carideo Paribello. On October 15, 1992 he married Frances DiBella in Peekskill, NY. John was a member of the Mt. Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept. Engine 2 and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He is survived by five children; John (Mary) Paribello of Ridgefield, CT, Judy Paribello Guerriero of Tuckahoe, NY, Stephen Paribello of West Palm Beach, FL, Mary Beth Dobbin of Eastchester, NY and Paul Paribello of Brookfield, CT. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Emily Paribello, Michael, Salvatore (US Air Force), Anthony (US Air Force) and Joseph Guerriero, Elizabeth Dobbin, John and Paul Paribello and a brother, James L. Paribello of Seattle, WA.
Predeceased by his wife, Frances Paribello, a sister, Maria Rita and son-in-law Michael Dobbin.
Visitation is Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 10am at the Assumption Church. Entombment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
