Richard “Rick” Kasten of Peekskill, NY passed away on September 26, 2013. He was 66 years old. Mr. Kasten was a Help-Desk Coordinator with the City of White Plains; retiring after 36 years of service. Rick was born on July 14, 1947 in Mount Vernon to Ralph and Michelle Lee Luciani Kasten. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965. He honorably served his country in the US Marine Corp. from 1966 to 1968. On October 24, 1970 he married MarySue Spinella at St. Theresa’s Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY. From 1977-1989 Rick was an Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Yonkers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, MarySue Kasten of Peekskill, one brother, Thomas (Rosemary) Kasten of Yonkers, a godson, Thomas E. Kasten, a niece Tracy Ann (Jason) Steinberg and an aunt, Lucy (Tom) Adamo of Scarsdale. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from both the Kasten and Spinella families. Visitation is Sunday, September 29th, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 30th, at 11:30am at Church of the Holy Spirit. Entombment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
