Please share a memory of Maryann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
July 18, 1946 – July 4, 2012 Maryann "Midge" Miller, a 33-year resident of Peekskill, NY and devoted wife, loving mother, loyal friend and self-appointed aunt to many entered into rest on Wednesday, July 4th, surrounded by loved ones. She was 65 years of age. Midge was born on July 18, 1946 in Queens, NY but always consider Peekskill to be her home. She spent her years serving her community in various capacities including serving on the Home Owners Association Board of Chapel Hill Estates, volunteering for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Peekskill Republican Party and serving as a Eucharistic Minister at Church of the Holy Spirit. Midge loved being 'Aunt Midge' to the neighborhood children and was known by friends as being the "biggest kid of them all". She lived for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She was a talented artist with a great appreciation for nature, which was the inspiration for much of her artwork. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life Jerry Miller of Peekskill and her daughter and son-in-law Danielle and Jeffrey Miller-Blaske of Atlanta, GA. The Miller family would like to extend their gratitude to all of Midge's doctors and the amazing nursing staff at Hudson Valley Hospital Center who cared for Midge like she was family, preserving her dignity every step of the way. A Celebration of Life will be held 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Friday, July 6th at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 7th at Church of the Holy Spirit in Cortlandt Manor. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Church of the Holy Spirit Building Foundation.
