Elizabeth F. Stewart a life-long resident of Peekskill, NY passed away on May 31, 2012. She was 95. Mrs. Stewart was born on September 3, 1916 in Peekskill to James and Filomena Salerno Casterella. Elizabeth was educated in Peekskill and attended all local area schools. On October 26, 1941 she married Ralph T. Stewart at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. A Nurse's Aide, Elizabeth worked at Westledge Nursing Home. Locally, she was a member of the Peekskill Senior Citizens. She is survived by her daughter Vickie and son-in-law Tom Booth of Peekskill, two grandchildren Tracy and James Booth. Also survived by three great grandchildren - Matthew and Kyle Mallory and Allyson Booth as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Ralph Stewart on January 29, 1995, a sister Angelina Alterio and a brother Ralph Casterella. Calling hours are Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 10AM at the Assumption Church.
