Obituary of Elizabeth T. Ronci

Elizabeth T. Ronci (Betty) of Peekskill NY died on May 25, 2012 at the age of 86. Betty was born to Elizabeth (Bottos) and William McDermott in Verplanck, NY and moved to Peekskill. She married Frank L. Ronci on September 28, 1952 in Peekskill and raised their three children there. Betty was a graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School and often worked at her stepfather's (Frank Curcio) popular Peekskill establishment, the Shady Lake. She then worked for AT&T and New York Telephone retiring in 1984. After retirement, Betty and Frank took the opportunity to travel to places like Mexico, Alaska, Italy and cross country road trips. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank L. Ronci of Peekskill, her son Wayne (Eileen) of Omaha NE, daughter Sharon of Peekskill, and daughter-in-law Christa of Croton-on-Hudson. Her eldest child, Frank W Ronci, predeceased Betty in February 2012. Four grandchildren also survive her: Frank S (Crystal), Arianna, Nathan and Michael. Friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. The funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, 10am at the Assumption Church in Peekskill with internment at Assumption Cemetery.
