Lucille Rita (Heady) Johnson of Peekskill, NY passed away on April 20, 2012. She was 93 years old. Lucille worked for Grossman's in Peekskill as a Floor Lady and also at Reader's Digest in the mail department. She was born on July 2, 1918 in Brooklyn to Joseph and Philomena Amarosa Virgilio. In 1939 Lucille married Joseph Heady at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Survived by her daughter, Doris (Heady) Milanese of Yorktown, two grandchildren, Vicki Rita Titka and her fiancé Jack Galvin and Theresa Lynn Hassett. Seven great grandchildren, Joseph, Clinton, Nicholas, Christopher, Thomas, Chanell and Daniel. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph Heady, grandson Richard Guy Milanese, two sisters, Matilda and Virginia and three brothers, Ray, Edward and Arnold. Visitation is Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, 10am, at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
