John A Isabella of Peekskill, NY passed away on July 29, 2008. He was 81. Mr. Isabella was a Production Scheduling Manager for General Motors in Tarrytown, NY for thirty years, retiring in 1982. Upon retiring his many hobbies included “gourmet” cooking, wood crafting, painting and drawing. All of which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.

John was born on October 5, 1926 in Peekskill to Giuseppe and Philomena Pisanello Isabella. He attended Peekskill schools and was a graduate of PeekskillHigh School, Class of 1944. John was honorably discharged from the US Army after active duty in the European Theater during World War II. On May 11, 1952 he married Louise R. Costando at St. Roch’s Church in the Bronx.

Mr. Isabella was a three term Peekskill City Councilman, and a three term Acting City Mayor.
