Rita Theresa Roche of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on October 20, 2007, she was 75. Mrs. Roche was born on February 19, 1932 to Robert Leo and Catherine Stinlee Gilvey in the Bronx, NY. On April 14, 1956 Rita married Alfred Roche at St. Anthony’s Church in the Bronx.
A Homemaker, Rita previously worked for New York Telephone Co. and was a School Monitor for the Van Cortlandtville Middle School and Walter Panas High School.
She is survived by her husband Alfred Roche of Cortlandt Manor. Five children, Linda (Charles) Williams of Queensbury, NY, Michael (Elaine) Roche of Yorktown Heights, Robert (Christina) Roche of New Jersey, Nancy (Stephen) Jacobs of Croton-on-Hudson, and Patricia (Philip) Peters of Saugerties, NY. Also survived by a brother Robert Gilvey, Jr. of the Bronx and twelve grandchildren.
Calling hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home. The Funeral Service is Wednesday, 10 am at the Funeral Home, followed by Private Cremation.
