Gerald R. Hatzmann of Cortlandt Manor passed away on July 27 of recently-diagnosed pancreatic cancer. Jerry was born in Ossining and graduated from OHS, where he played on the hockey team. He proudly served in the NYS Army National Guard 133rd Signal Division, activated during the Berlin Crisis. Jerry worked as a data communications engineer for NYCRR at 466 Lex. He retired from GE after 28 years of service as a Data Communications Specialist. He then operated a hot dog truck in Cold Spring for 8 years (his dream job). Jerry was a founding member of the Snow Star Ski Club where he met Emily. They were both life-long boaters and members of the Kings Ferry Yacht Club (SUNSET). He is survived by Emily, his wife of 54 years. Also two daughters, Christine Hatzmann and Amy Rodriguez (Joe), and precious granddaughters Jessica and Liana Rodriguez. He was Predeceased by his mother Helen Kimball.. Visitation will be 6 to 9 pm on Monday, July 30 at Nardone Funeral Home, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10 am Tuesday at St. Columbanus Church. Internment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
