Obituary of Evangelos D. Fytros

Evangelos "Evan" D. Fytros, 40 of Carmel, NY lost his battle with Cancer and passed away on July 5, 2017 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC. Evan was born on November 8, 1976 at Phelps Hospital located in Tarrytown NY. Evan was a graduate of Peekskill High School in June 1994 and he also went on and attained an Associates Degree from Westchester Community College. 

 Evan worked as an Operations Supervisor for Action Carting Environmental at their Stanley Avenue Transfer Station in Brooklyn NY. On November 4, 2016, Evan married the love of his life, Jessica (Zamlowski) Fytros. Evan was a lifelong member of the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps since 1991

 He was predeceased by his parents, Paula (Moustakas) Fytros and Mark Nicholas Fytros. Evan is survived by his two brothers; Nicholas Fytros (Joann) of Little Ferry, NJ, and their children, Paula and Christopher Fytros. John Fytros (Melissa) of Albion, NY and his daughter Emily Fytros and their son Adrian Fytros. Evan is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and their families. He was a friend to all and was affectionately known as "Uncle Ev". 

 The family will receive relatives and friends at Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY on Sunday, July 9th from 2-8pm where a Trisagion ceremony will be conducted at 5 pm.
 Church Service with be held at St. Basil's Academy, Garrison NY on Monday, July 10th at 10:00AM. The Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Oregon Rd. Cortlandt Manorl, NY. In his memory, in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Peekskill Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Peekskill, NY 10566.
