Obituary of Yolanda T. Mastrianna

Yolanda T. “Vi” Mastrianna a life-long resident of Peekskill, NY passed away on December 1, 2017. She was a beautiful 97 years old. She was born on July19, 1920 in Peekskill to Domenico A. and Jennie Etri Bertoline. Vi attended local schools and graduated from Peekskill High School. She worked at John R. Jones in Peekskill and then as a bookkeeper at Bertoline & Sons. She loved this job because she got to work with her brothers in a family business started by her father, Domenico. On February 8, 1942 she married Joseph John Mastrianna at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Vi was a very active member of the Christopher Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, an avid golfer and card player. A loving mother she is survived by her two children, Domenick Mastrianna of Sarasota, FL and Jeanne (Vincent) Burruano of Garrison. Her cherished grandchildren; Vincent, Joseph, Michael, Domenick, Joan, Jean (Giordano) and Jane. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren whom she adored, along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph John Mastrianna, three sisters and four brothers; Millie Goderre, Lena Toohey and Mary Rose Skinner, Angelo (Slim), Nicholas, Joseph and Benjamin Bertoline. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Assumption Church. Private Cremation Service will follow. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
