Obituary of Robert King

Robert "Bob" King entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 2, 2018. He was 94 years of age. Born in Peekskill, New York on March 2, 1924, to Stephen and Anna King. Cherished Brother of Barbara Claire, who passed away earlier this year. He was a dear uncle to his niece Debbie Claire Garrett, the late Mark Claire, and Bruce Claire.

Bob lived his entire life in Peekskill. After his time in the Navy during World War II, he went to work for Fleischman's, and then had a long career of 32 years with I.B.M. He retired in 1987, which gave him more time on the golf course with his friends.

He was a man of God, and attended Assumption Church where he ushered well into his 80's. He was very loving, and had always cared for his parents in his home until each of their passings. Bob was being cared for at the Veterans Home at Montrose. His family is grateful for the wonderful care he received over the past 9 years.

Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Chapel service officiated by Father Dave Lothrop to begin at 1:45pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at the Assumption Cemetery.
