Diana G. Lapiano, our loving sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Diana was loved dearly by her parents who predeceased her, Wanda and Peter Bekisz, and those who survived her, including her siblings Marlene (Phil) DeLuca and Peter (Lynn) Bekisz; daughters Dr. Dawn (Andy) Smith, Kim (Henderson) Brathwaite, and Deborah (Andy) Hartman, as well as grandchildren Matthew and Andrew Smith, Michael and Ciara Brathwaite, George Fibble, and Autumn and Jack Hartman, and many nieces and nephews. Diana was an incredible woman who lived her life in service to others as a nurse and officer in the U.S. Army Medical Corp. She was known for her love of the outdoors and inspired all those around her to give and do their very best and achieve anything they wished for. Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Funeral Home. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10AM at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring, followed by burial at Cold Spring Cemetery.
