Obituary of Paul Joseph Rederer

Paul Rederer, a long time resident of Buchanan, passed away on July 3, surrounded by his family. He was 89 years of age. He was a loving husband to Virginia Rederer (nee Curran), a devoted brother to Regina Rederer Keefe, a beloved uncle to Russell Gambino, Lucy Siniscalchi, James Gambino, Gerard Gambino, Mary Ellen Keefe-Fennell, and Cathleen Schmidt. He delighted in his many great-nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister Elizabeth Werner. Paul graduated from NYU. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was the Director of Economics and Statistics for the Edison Electric Institute located in New York City. He was a past President of the Hendrick Hudson Lions Club. His pleasures included hiking in the Hudson Valley area, concerts at West Point, and ballroom dancing at Bear Mountain. He especially enjoyed planning frequent reunions with his classmates from Hendrick Hudson High School. Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone funeral Home on Friday, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm Funeral Mass will be held at St. Christopher’s Church on Saturday at 10:00am Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery
