Obituary of Rosa Emma Brucellaria

Rosa Emma Brucellaria of Roswell, GA, formerly of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away on June 14, 2017. She was 80 years old. A homemaker, she was born on February 1, 1937 in Mexico City, Mexico to Jose and America Lara. On November 23, 1962 Rosa married Anthony L. "Butch" Brucellaria in Mexico City, Mexico. Rosa is survived by four children; Michele (Rob) Shipley of Apex, NC, Monica (Tim) O’Connell of Roswell, GA, Carla (Erik) Svensen of Lakeville, MN and Marcy (Jay) McDougall of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Alexa Shipley; Christopher, Matthew, Lauren, Trevor and Jackson O’Connell; Anders, Grace and Niklas Svensen; and Lara, Quinn and Addisyn McDougall. Rosa was predeceased by her husband, Anthony L. "Butch" Brucellaria and a son, Anthony L. Brucellaria, Jr. Rosa ("Nana" to her grandchildren) always had a warm smile and a desire to enjoy life to the fullest – a lasting gift and a cherished memory she has bestowed upon her children and grandchildren that love her so dearly. Her welcoming and enthusiastic spirit was the loving touch she always added to make any occasion special. Visitation is Monday, June 19th from 4pm to 7pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, June 20th, 10am at the Assumption Church, 920 1st St, Peekskill, NY 10566. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
