Obituary of Beatrice M. Gurdineer

Beatrice M. Gurdineer of Montrose, NY passed away on March 23, 2017. She was 95 years old. A homemaker, Mrs. Gurdineer was born on August 13, 1921 in Wiccopee, NY to Lewis and Maude Mekeel. On October 24, 1948 she married Selden Gurdineer at the Methodist Church in Peekskill. Locally, Beatrice was a member of the Nor-Cort Senior Citizens, the Cortlandt Senior Citizens and a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary Cortlandt Engine Co. in Montrose. She was also a member of the Afternoon Guild of the Reformed Church of Cortlandtown in Montrose. Beatrice is survived by her son, Greg (Denise) Gurdineer of Cortlandt Manor and daughter, Judith (Kent) Hilliard of Garrison, three grandchildren; Michelle Gurdineer, Michael (Allison) Gurdineer and Noelle (Timothy) Matthews, four great grandchildren; Lena Gurdineer, Paige Gurdineer, Mason and Carter Matthews. Also surviving is a sister, Charlotte Mekeel of Lancaster, PA. Predeceased by her husband, Selden Gurdineer. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 26th from 3pm to 7pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 27th, 10am at the Reformed Church of Cortlandtown, Montrose, NY. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
