Obituary of Madeline F. Turrone

Madeline F. Turrone a life-long resident of Peekskill, NY and currently a resident of Villa at St. Francis passed away on March 9, 2017. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Turrone had worked for the City of Peekskill in the Water Department. She was born on May 15, 1923 in Peekskill, NY to James and Florence Hines Thornell. On September 24, 1944 she married Peter Turrone at the Assumption Church in Peekskill where she was a parishioner. Madeline is survived by a daughter Marie (Dominick) Bertoline of Buchanan and three sons; Peter Turrone of Newburgh, Gregory (Nancy) Turrone of Cortlandt Manor and Robert Turrone of Peekskill. Also surviving are seven grandsons; and five great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Peter Turrone, a sister, Helen Carroll and two brothers, Frank and Thomas Thornell. Visitation is Sunday March 12th from 3pm to 7pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 13th, 10am at the Assumption Church.
