Obituary of Marion Rose Stackhouse

Marion Rose Stackhouse of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 6, 2016 at Rosary Hill, Hawthorne, NY. She was 77 years old. Prior to her illness Mrs. Stackhouse was the Manager of Amy’s Hallmark at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights. Earlier on Marion had worked for the Evening Star newspaper in Peekskill. She was born of September 5, 1938 in Peekskill to Thomas and Mary Guzzardo Salerno. Marion married Jesse Stackhouse on October 12, 1958. She loved all family holidays and gatherings, especially Christmas. She also loved to knit, shop, bake and cook for her family. Marion loved her grandchildren and all of her grand fur babies too! She is survived by her husband Jesse Stackhouse of Cortlandt Manor and their three daughters: Mary Ellen (Mark) Pawera, Sandra (Sal) Bottiglieri and Doreen (Charles ) Simmons. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Salvatore Bottiglieri, Jessica and Nick Simmons and a sister, Rose Marie Brown and sister-in-law, Nancy Stackhouse. Visitation is Wednesday, August 10th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 11th , 10am at the Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
